PHbotanical Organic Beauty products
It is so important to re-think about what you use on your skin! Because products absorb into the skin and into the bloodstream just like what you eat; I wanted to create products that I feel safe putting on my own skin and hair and my clients so I designed my own…"our purely botanical beauty products have 100% real essence oils, botanical and Organic ingredients that cleanses, nourishes and revitalizes the body”. PH beauty products are handmade at the Pickett House with only the highest quality botanical and organic ingredients. Facial Wash . Facial Toner . Facial Cream . BLUE LABEL face cream, face serum and face mist. Body Butter . Body & Hair Oil . Body Powder Masks . Bath Salts . French milled Soaps with Ayata & Hemp wash cloths.

Elizabeth Pickett has 25 years in hair and makeup starting
when she opened her first salon with her sister Donna, in an old barber shop. Six months later “the old
barber shop” was one of the hottest salons in Florida. Opening two other salons, producing
fashion shows, platform work and teaching, in 1985 she moved to Los Angles
going into the film industry. After becoming one of the most sought-out makeup artists
in print, commercials and music videos in 1995 she relocated to Martha’s Vineyard to raise her children and opened the
Pickett House. In between traveling for Make-up
and hair shoots, she can be found at The Barn Salon and Spa located at the Pickett House Bed & Breakfast.

On Hair & make up
Short or long a haircut should accent the shape of the face with
a look and a versatility that can go from one extreme to another, day
or night. Natural highlighting or low lightning accents the natural
color of your hair
and gives it depth and color dimensions; when it moves; you watch it
because it is stunning.
Graying is a natural
process that softens the face and eyes. Graying adds new vibrant colors to work
with that change and define who you are, not your age but your style.
Make up is what it is; Make -up. I can never emphasize
enough, how important it is to not to really see it…just let it accent your
best qualities, not take over who you are.
1) The base (foundation- I call it the canvas) has to be clean, it is all about
blending into the skin, highlighting and low lighting the right area to give a
natural look. This includes correcting discolorations, but you do not want to
see the foundation! It should be light as a veil so blend, blend, and blend.
2) I do eyes (shadows) next....first what colors are in the eyes (there are
many) and go with one of those colors or contrast the color of the eye "to
give them punch" so they really show up.
3) Eyeliner. This
area…it is fun, so play with it. Natural, smudge or line heavy or fine.
4) Mascara;
A) use your own!!! It is wet and contained in a
canister, so that means what in biology;GERMS that lead to eye disease.
B) If it smells get rid of it (it has
gone bad).
I like to use brown /black combo and I wipe off (I know it is wasted)
first then apply so it will not clump.
5) Blush can be any shade that is in season but should be
light and again blend, blend and blend because you don’t want it as the main
item.
6) For lips I love to play in this area…because it can
either make it or break it. Drama for night is always red; red red!….I love blue true red, but
it stains so you need to be good with the lip brush. Light colors for day with gloss.
